Dr. Lisa Mason is the founder and managing veterinarian of Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation in DeLand, Florida, where she leads a growing, referral-focused practice dedicated to advanced rehabilitation and pain management. She is recognized for her work in integrating multimodal pain control with cutting-edge rehabilitation techniques to improve outcomes in both companion animals and canine athletes.

Dr. Mason earned her undergraduate degree from Emory University and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. She has pursued extensive post-graduate training through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute and Chi Institute, becoming a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (CCRT) and Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist (CVA). In 2020, she further advanced her expertise by becoming a Certified Veterinary Pain Practitioner (CVPP), with a focused emphasis on complex and chronic pain management.

After relocating to Florida in 2013, Dr. Mason practiced as an integrative, rehabilitation, and exotics veterinarian at FloridaWild Veterinary Hospital. She founded Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation in 2018 to meet the increasing demand for non-surgical treatment options and to provide a higher level of care for patients requiring advanced rehabilitation strategies.

Her clinical interests include osteoarthritis, tendinopathies, ligament injuries, neurologic rehabilitation, and post-operative recovery. She is particularly known for her work in regenerative medicine, including platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, and for developing targeted rehabilitation protocols that restore function and performance. Her work has supported the recovery of high-level canine athletes as well as improved quality of life for geriatric patients.

In 2022, Dr. Mason expanded Florida Veterinary Rehabilitation into a larger, state-of-the-art facility, adding associate rehabilitation veterinarians and a highly trained support team. Her practice continues to serve as a regional referral center for complex rehabilitation and pain management cases.

Dr. Mason is committed to advancing the field of veterinary rehabilitation through continued education, collaboration, and mentorship. She lectures around the country at national conferences, state VMAs, and local meetings. 

Outside of her professional work, she enjoys spending time with her family and animals, hiking, fitness, and the beach.
