Amber Youngers
Veterinary Rehabilitation Assistant
Amber was born in Kirksville, Missouri and moved to central FL with her family at a young age. She has always gravitated to animals of all kinds and sizes. She started her career in vet medicine as a veterinary technician at Halifax Humane Society. After giving shelter medicine a go, she moved on to work in a general practice hospital in New Smyrna Beach before joining the FVR team.
Outside of FVR Amber is a horse trainer specializing in behavior as well as training in both English and Western disciplines. Her four-legged family consists of her horse Eli, Chloe her 17-year-old multi-poo, Chester her 11-year-old shih tzu, Luna her 10-year-old pitty/grey hound mix, and Toby her 8-year-old Staffordshire terrier. All of which are rescues. But the question of "who rescued who?" is still on the table.
